Tech Tonic : BlackBerry founders no longer top dogs

As the founders and CEOs of Research in Motion, Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis were kings of the smartphone not so long ago. How the mighty have fallen - BlackBerrys are now lagging behind iPhones and Androids in the race for smartphone supremacy and as a result, Balsillie and Lazaridis are no longer the top dogs at RIM, stepping down as CEOs. Anthony DeRosa doesn’t see a bright future for RIM or BlackBerry anytime soon as the fledgling company plays catch-up.

They needed to step their game up a long time ago. Blackberry s are so ugly and plain.

Today is the 30th anniversary of the infamous ‘Ozzy biting the head off a live bat incident.’  I think it is worth honoring the Prince of Darkness with this phenomenal excerpt from his memoir, I Am Ozzy:

“Immediately, though, something felt wrong. Very wrong. For a start, my mouth was instantly full of this warm, gloopy liquid, with the worst aftertaste you could ever imagine. I could feel it staining my teeth and running down my chin. Then the head in my mouth twitched. Oh f#ck me, I thought. I didn’t just go and eat a f#cking bat, did I?”
